GWA Model Info

- casting rating 3/8-1 1/2oz, for bottom fishing 1-4oz, Great as a spinning rod for throwing light lures (SP MInnows) on beaches and back bays for Bass, Blues, and Fluke. For Blackfish jigs, 1-2oz...BUT you have to be specifically looking for a soft rod, it is highly recommended that you feel the blank and make sure it is what you are looking for jigging. For throwing small live bait (white bait) at Snook and Reds the soft tip does not flick the baits off and the moderate action throws them a long way.

- casting 1/2-2oz, bottom 1 1/2-5oz. A nice all around light bottom fishing rod for Blackfish, Sea Bass, and Porgy, it actually handles 6oz really well.

- casting 1-3oz, bottom 2-8oz. Perfect all around rod for bottom fishing, it handles a wide range of applications really well. From 4-6oz chicken rigging for Fluke, Sea Bass, Porgy, and Blackfishing with rigs, and diamond jigging and live lining Striped Bass. Everyone who picks the 802 up and uses it becomes an instant fan.

- casting 1 1/2-4oz, bottom 3-12oz. Blackfish rig rod. Period, I've already been told by several fishermen that it surpasses any other rig rod they've ever used. Also makes a nice live lining and jigging rod for Bass. For Tarpon and Cobia built as a spinner, it's great for bait or throwing lures.

- casting 2-5oz, bottom 4-16oz. Deepwater, down south Blackfishing is where this rod is going to shine. Also Bass fishing with eels and bait out East. Has been extensively used in Florida by several guides and charters off Sanibel & Captiva, and has quite a following for both the captains and their customers using live & cut bait for Tarpon.
